With every interstate vehicle transportation, we ask our customers to follow some preparation guidelines. To give you a rough idea on what this looks like, for vehicle relocation you should;
- Make sure you have another set of keys besides the keys you hand over to us for the interstate car transport.
- Clean your car inside and out - Make sure nothing you will need is left in there and give it a good clean before the first available shipping date is sent to you. Vacuum inside the vehicle and take out all cables, electronics, loose coins, décor, air fresheners and so on.
- Examine the exterior of your vehicle - You need to make sure you note down any scratches and damage the car already has. This is so you can compare pre-existing imperfections and (unlikely, but sometimes possible) damage to your car after it is delivered. Take photographs for transit protection reasons. Make sure any parts that are loose or removable like the antenna, side mirrors and such, are taken off or secured ready for the interstate car transport.
- Do a maintenance check on the vehicle before the transfer of the vehicle - This means doing things like checking the tyres, topping off fluids, keeping the petrol to under ¼ tank and making sure the battery is in good condition. Also, disable your alarm.
- Remember Australia has strict quarantine laws when moving vehicles to different states - The consequence of not following them vary. It includes things like making sure no seeds, dirt, mud and such are moved with the car.
